Etude House Every Month Cleansing Cream Review

How do you remove your makeup every night? Some may use facial wash, while some others prefer cleansing oil. But for heavy makeup user like me, either one is never enough. Normally I need to remove my eyeliner and lipstick with eye and lips makeup remover. But of course it won't wash away the color makeup off my face. Then I need to rub and cleanse the rest of my makeup with cleansing oil. Usually my face will be so sticky cause I tend to use 1-2 pumps. So after rinsing the oil with tap water, I still have to use facial wash twice for better result. That would take me around 10 minutes. I know some people say it's not good for my skin. And I could feel my skin feel tight afterwards with so many cleansing products. So lately I've been trying Etude House Every Month Cleansing Cream, which actually helps my makeup cleansing process a bit quicker and easier.

Many of you may have heard or used Etude House every month cleansing foam series. There are 12 of them from January to December (1-12), with different ingredients specialized for different skin types. I tried March cleansing foam with apple and tomato as main ingredients and it felt incredible. But now that it's emptied, I was lucky to get and try a new cleanser from Etude House. Instead of the monthly cleansing foam, it's Every Month Cleansing Cream. It's supposed to suit all skin types. And today I will tell you more about this product.

It looks like a normal cleansing foam in a tube. It contains 180 ml of product and is a bit bigger than Etude House Every Month Cleansing Foam. There are two types of this cleansing cream: Moisturize & Revitalizing and Soft & Moist. The one I got is Soft & Moist. It contains 12 types of moist ingredients.

Here is the ingredients list.

WATER, MINERAL OIL, ISOPROPYL PALMITATE, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, CETEARYL ALCOHOL,CORYLUS
AVELLANA (HAZEL) BUD EXTRACT, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, LAVANDULA ANGUSTIFOLIA (LAVENDER) OIL,

Make sure it's sealed like in the picture to ensure that it is brand new. And now I'm going to show you how it performs to remove some makeup I applied on my hand.

etude house every month cleansing cream

I listed the makeup products I use in the picture above. Foundation is normally not easy to be removed by makeup remover alone, but eyeliner and matte lipstick are the hardest for me. I applied Missha Everlasting Lacquer Rouge, which is very matte and quite drying on my dry lips and tend to stick more and tough to be removed. It is still matte and dry on my hand too. Aritaum tint is less 'bad' but it's a tint so it tends to still leave its stains on my lips and also not that quick to wash away.

As you can see the Etude House Every Month Cleansing Cream is in thick white texture. And all I have to do is rub the cream on the makeup I want to remove, without water. I don't usually use that much product, but for review purpose I apply more.

etude house every month cleansing cream

As you can see, after rinsing the cleansing cream, there's still some eyeliner and lip tint remains. I actually expected the eyeliner would stay. I think especially for lip tints and eyeliner, I still need to use makeup remover.

Previously my cleansing routine is:

Makeup remover > cleansing oil > water rinsing> facial wash 2x = around 8-10 minutes

And now my current cleansing routine:

Makeup remover (on eyes and lips) > Every Month Cleansing Cream > water rinsing> facial wash = 4-5 minutes

PROS
- Affordable
- Quick cleansing
- No irritation
- Fit all skin types
- Moisturizing
- A little goes a long way

CONS
- Thick eyeliner and lip products need to be removed properly with makeup remover first

OVERALL 4.5/5
Etude House Every Month Cleansing Cream is a one for all cleanser with moisturizing and revitalizing properties. It feels soft and not irritating, even when it's being rubbed near the eyes. All you need to do is apply adequately and massage gently to remove the makeup on your face. Once it covers the face and you rubs enough, rinse with water to cleanse the cream. Facial wash is still needed to remove excess makeup and/or oil. The only downside is for people who love heavy eyeliners and eye makeup, makeup remover is still advisable to use before this cleansing cream for more cleaner result. What I love about this cleansing cream is it makes my face feels soft and moisturize afterwards without any tight feeling. It speeds up my cleansing process as well, so I don't really find what I don't love about this product. People who don't like sticky cleansing oil might want to try this cleansing cream! Last but not least, this Every Month Cleansing Cream is my current favorite cleanser that I use everyday.

It's nearly the end of May and I can't believe it's almost my anniversary again. It feels like just a while ago when I looked for anniversary gift to give my boyfriend. Recently I was contacted by Anjolee, a US based jewelry company, to take a view on their website. I did visit the website and find a lot of beautiful collections of necklaces, bracelets, and also rings from wedding ring, engagement ring to anniversary ring. After years of receiving electronic gadgets as gifts, I think it's about time I hint him that I'd like anniversary ring lol. After all, diamonds are forever, right?

So upon looking and reading further on their website, I found that aside of their beautiful and luxurious jewelry, they also offer jewelry customization which would allow me to choose specific metal, carat weight, center diamond, diamond size, and optional engraving. Anjolee also gives diamond and jewelry education, which is really helpful for first timers to learn more about diamond clarity, color, anatomy and many more. Now let me share what I found there and some beautiful jewelry that I love.

personalize wedding ring

The first thing I checked out was of course rings. If you've been reading some of my jewelry posts, you'd know that I'm obsessed with rings. While I don't have a lot of diamond rings collection, but I always love looking at them and collecting the pictures for future reference. There are some categories in ring department. You can see their beautiful cut and designs.

The filtering makes it easy to find the kind of rings you'd like based on its style, shape, and color. When I clicked a ring, I could see the product summary in details like this picture below.

Then I can also customize the metal type, carat weight, center diamond, quality, and more. It's really convenient and the ring I pick would still look unique and personal due to the personalization. The engraving can also give 2 font options. After choosing what I'd want, it would automatically estimate the ring prize, Most items also come with a jewelry box, certificate of authenticity, free shipping with fedex and also 30 day return policy.

Those are my top 5. The designs are cute and the diamonds look fabulous. I especially love the diamond studs earrings they look simple but beautiful. There are still a lot more jewelry on their website which I'm sure can be a great gift for your beloved ones too, especially if it's personalized by you. Visit Anjolee and check out their gorgeous jewelry collection on http://www.anjolee.com/

Do you see your favorite jewelry from the list I posted? Which one is yours?

Aritaum Water Sliding Tint Review

Hello! It's been a week since my last post and a while ago since my last makeup review. And today I'm back with another lipstick review. It's another tint from Aritaum, Korean based cosmetic brand. Lately I've been into tint lipstick more as it lasts longer and hassle free. I've been getting mostly fuchsia and purplish lips nearly all 2014, and starting from this year I'm open to other colors. And this time I got an orange lippie. Ever since I started collecting lipsticks, this is probably my second orange lipstick. I was hoping it would be something like tangerine orange but this Aritaum Water Sliding Tint I got was in orange shock, which literally shocked me a bit lol. But before I rambled more, let me show you more about the product after the jump.

aritaum tint lipstick orange shock

The packaging is just like any other lipstick with the cap and the only difference is when I twist the lipstick, I shouldn't twist too much to get the lippie out cause unlike normal lipstick, it won't go back down. I wonder why recently some brands make their lipstick like that? If I'm not mistaken, Etude House Sweet Cherry Tint also has similar mechanism. Anyway, it would be better to twist just enough so you'll be able to close the cap back without damaging the lipstick. Everything else is pretty much in hangeul, but the manufacture date is printed on the bottom of the product.

aritaum water sliding lip tint orange shock

aritaum water sliding tint lips orange swatch

As you can see, the swatch on my hand in natural lighting, the orange isn't the tangerine orange I wanted but more like carrot. With flash, the color looks slightly more orange and you can see how it looks so moisturizing. And it's also extremely pigmented. I was surprised how pigmented it was the first time I applied it on my lips. I also think that applying the lippie gently and slowly is better if you're not into bold lips cause it might get too shocking orange on your lips. And this is what I said "I got shocked" with this shocking orange shade. This is the most orange lipstick I ever had, and no this is not a sheer lipstick.

aritaum water sliding tint lipsaritaum water sliding tint lips

Both pictures were taken in different spots and lighting. I wanted to show you how the lips look like in different lighting. I don't know if it's my hair color (hair just got toned before taking this photo) or the lipstick but my skintone looks slightly pink orange ish? Or I'm just not used to seeing myself with bright orange ish red lips. My mom didn't like me wearing bold lipstick so she said I looked weird lol but I personally love this lipstick shade on me, just need a while to get used to it. I say it's a nice change for once.

PROS
- Moisturizing
- Glides smoothly on the lips just like its name
- Very pigmented
- Tint stays all day long but shines disappears after an hour
- Affordable
- Comes in 15 colors
- Lightweight and travel friendly

CONS
- Accentuates dry parts of lips, so moisturize and exfoliates before use
- Too pigmented, not for people who like sheer lips

OVERALL 4.5/5
Aritaum Water Sliding Tint is a travel friendly lip tint that is moisturizing and not drying on the lips. It may accentuates dry areas on the lips though so for people with dry lips it might make your lips look a bit clumpy, so please exfoliate first. Just like the product name, it is slightly watery and makes it easy to apply since it slides smoothly on the lips. It is highly pigmented so I can't really apply with pressure or it will look too vibrant, especially when I'm wearing heavy eye makeup. So all I do is just dab the lip tint gently on my lower lips to make it look like the promotional ads. In the result pictures, I apply the lipstick normally though hence the vibrant and boldness. The shine disappears after nearly an hour, but the tint stays long lasting until long hours. If you don't like the shine, you can just put a piece of tissue paper between your lips to get rid of the shine and it will be a matte tint. I don't reapply this lip tint after few hours cause the color still stays on my lips after I eat and drink. Overall, it is a very easy to use lip tint with great color payoff.

2015 summer dress

It felt like yesterday when spring just sprung, but soon spring will end and summer is coming. Many are planning their summer vacations and road trips, while some others are still looking for the new bathing suit. It is almost summer all year long here, so even though I couldn't relate to last winter's warm coat hunting, I can totally use new collection of summery dresses. Some of the things I consider before deciding to buy dresses are the design, patterns, and skirt shape. Instead of tight pencil skirt, I tend to go for A line skirt and airy flowy skirt that would feel nice when I walk. And here are 5 of cute dresses that would be perfect for this summer.

summer dress 2015
V-Neck Pink A Line Dress

I fell in love at first sight with this beautiful dress. This polyester dress would look perfect for summer evening. It might look a bit thick but the design and neckline would make it comfortable to wear. The belt line is above stomach and with the A line skirt, there's no need to worry about covering that belly bulge after a full meal. You can get this dress here for $21.23. There are 5 sizes available from XS to 2XL.

cute summer dress 2015
Peter Pan Collar Birds Print Dress

Another cute A line dress with white collar and birds print. The material is cotton blend. And the color alone already tempted me to get this cute dress. It is available in 3 sizes from S to L here for $25.97.

summer dress 2015
Bleach Wash Denim Ruffle Dress

It's called a dress but for me personally, it looks like a cute overall skirt. Something I'd wear over a white sleeveless or short sleeves shirt and pair them with platform sneakers for an overall cute playful look. It is a free size that fits S to M size, and only retails at $28.62.

summer dress 2015
Floral Spaghetti Strap Dress

No matter the season, I'd always prefer anything floral with vintage tone, like this spaghetti dress. It's sheer, cute and very summery. You can pair the dress with accessories and comfortable strap flat sandals. It's also available in 5 sizes from XS to 2XL here for only $18.89

summer dress 2015
Heart Print Bowknot Sleeve Dress

For people who don't wish to expose their arms, there's always cute short sleeve dress. It is not a tight fit so it would be comfortable to wear, walk and sit. The heart patterns are really cute, and a bowknot decorated the round neckline. You can find this adorable dress here for only $17.30

There are still more of Zaful cute dresses on their website but those are my top five dresses for this upcoming summer. What do you think? Which summer dress do you like?

A.True Real Black Tea True Active CC Cushion

It is no secret that I love and adore BB and CC cushions. And I am going to share the latest cushion product that I tried which is A True Real Black Tea True Active CC Cushion. Wow was that long or what. If you're unfamiliar with A True, this brand is another cosmetics brand from South Korea. A true is a brand that believes in true value and true beauty from a cup of finest black tea. Honestly this is my first time trying their product even though I've seen and heard the brand from other websites and blogs. And I decided to take the challenge and try it myself. As the name suggests, its main ingredients is black tea. Almost all products I've seen from A.True so far contain black tea; their mask, essence, gel cream, moisturizer, makeup, and more. They present true personal care with its unique textures and outstanding benefits.  Here is a little excerpts from A.True.

Here at A.True, we wish to revive the Premium Beauty of the 17th Century European Royal Court. We aim to bring our customers back to a time of lavish lifestyles and exquisite teas and to have them transported back in time via a single sip.

Black tea contains vitamins (B2, C, E), minerals (magnesium, potassium, zinc), some essential oils, polyphenols and tannins. And black tea also have good benefits for our skin. It prevents pimples, skin aging and wrinkles. It is said that black tea also can be used to tighten pores and good for oily skin. A.True claims this CC cushion to be firming, hydrating, toning, brightening, giving radiant and boosting your skin with its revolutionary formula that help revitalize and illuminate the skin tone while maintaining overall skin brightness and transparency. Sounds too good to be true?

Now let me show you more about this CC cushion.

The product comes with a refill in separate packaging, and also a booklet of handful information about both the company, black tea, and the product itself. I've learned some useful information about black tea and how A.True only selected and used the finest tea leaves that is harvested in Castleton Tea Garden, placed in Darjeeling, India. It is also formulated without paraben, ethanol, phenoxyethanol, benzophenone, triethanolamine, talc, mineral oil, petrolatum and SLS. It also has SPF50+/PA+++

Ingredients:
*Saccharomyces/Xylinum/Black Tea Ferment(3,840mg), Cyclopentasiloxane, Titanium Dioxide, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Phenyl Trimethicone, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Lauryl PEG-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Octocrylene, Zinc Oxide, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Butylene Glycol, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Sodium Chloride, Stearic Acid,1,2-Hexanediol,Iron Oxides (CI 77492), Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Acrylates/Dimethicone Copolymer, Chlorphenesin, Iron Oxides (CI 77491), Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Iron Oxides (CI 77499),Saccharide Isomerate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Adenosine, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Fruit Extract, Maltodextrin, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Panthenol, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance

They only have 2 shades available; light beige and natural beige. I got the light beige. Expiry date is on the back of the product.

a true real black tea cc cushion

a true real black tea cc cushion

Just like any other cushion, it is packaged in a compact that comes with mirror and air puff. The compact is lightweight and travel friendly.

a true real black tea cc cushion

Behind the separator lid, there's a sticker seal, making sure it's brand new. The product itself is trapped under the cushion. To use it, simply press the puff on the cushion to get the product out then apply on the face. I know the cushion puff isn't for everyone. There are times I prefer small face brush to apply the cc cream on my face on certain areas like the side of my nose. It is easier to apply wider area like cheeks and forehead with the air puff though. The air puff doesn't completely absorb the product and let it go to waste but it absorbs enough and can easily apply the product onto the skin, blending it quite nicely. But I have large pores, so I always use either my finger or face brush for it.

a true real black tea cc cushion

It's a CC cushion so at first I expected it to be very thin and barely cover anything. But this CC cushion proved me wrong. Though not as thick as BB cushion, it is able to cover blemishes, not to full coverage though but I would say light to medium which is quite enough for my daily use.

a true real black tea cc cushion

I have redness, huge clogged pores at the moment, and couple of acne scars I need to cover. How happy I am when I apply this and it evens out my skintone, minimizes the appearance of pores, and covers 80% of my blemishes. I would say it's really good and just what I need. It feels lightweight on my skin too, nothing heavy at all. Oil control is average though, it stays on my oily nose for around 4-5 hours before it starts to shine. I still have to blot around the 6-7th hour. But then nothing really lasted longer than that on my extra oily nose anyway. Or at least I haven't found a better one that stays matte on my nose.

PROS
- Lightweight
- Quick application
- Travel friendly
- No breakouts
- Semi matte finish, good for combination to oily skin
- Covers blemishes, light to medium coverage
- Even out skintone
- Cancels redness
- Hydrating, safe for sensitive and dry skin
- No paraben, mineral oil, talc
- Dermatology tested

CONS
- Only 2 shades, light and natural beige

OVERALL 4/5
A.True Real Black Tea True Active CC Cushion is a great cc cream in cushion compact for anyone who prefers quick application anytime anywhere without hassle, even on the go. It contains black tea fermentation that evens out skintone, minimizes pores appearance, eliminates redness, covers blemishes, and brightens skin complexion. It gives semi matte finish. So if you're looking for dewy cc cushion, this is not it. It is more suitable for people with combination and oily skin. Although, it has hydrating function which is good for dry to normal skin as well. It is lightweight and not heavy on skin. The oil control is pretty decent, it lasts me up to 6 hours before the side of my nose starts to melt (I have super oily nose mind you). The only downside is probably the shade selection as it only has light beige and natural beige, which caters more for people with fair and neutral skintone unfortunately. But overall, it's a really great and convenient product to have when you're on the go and want to apply quick makeup or touch up during the day.

Girl Next Door Pink

Hello everyone. It's been a long while since I last posted something on my blog. I'm on holiday and have been away from home for sometime now. I've drafted few posts but the lack of decent internet drives me crazy. But I'm so glad I finally can post now. Anyhow, I'm going to talk about lipsticks today. While I love dramatic purple, and even red lips, but pink lipstick will always be a color I'd pick in almost any occasions. Pink is classic. Pink has variety of cute shades that can go well with almost all my clothes. My lipstick collection is dominated by pink colors. And today I will share how I use different pink shades to create different looks with the lipsticks I received from Luxola to celebrate International Kissing Day.

girl next door pink lipstick

girl next door pink lipstick

I received three pink lipsticks: Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips, Maybelline Colorshow, and Loreal Paris Color Riche. It's so hard to commit to just one pink shade, so I'm getting all different 3 shades and wearing them on different occasions.

etude house dear my blooming pink lipstick

Etude House lipsticks are no doubt my favorite ever. They always have the cutest and loveliest packaging, and lots of color selections. I actually have three shades from Dear My Blooming Lips series but PK009 will always be my favorite. It's beautiful, fun, flirty, and make me feel pretty. It is almost too pale, but I really think the color is very pretty. The lipstick itself is very pigmented and creamy but somehow it makes my lips feel dry after few hours. It's very lovely nevertheless.

The finish is beautiful and I am always impressed whenever I take photos wearing this lipstick. It's also very fitting for my gyaru look.

loreal paris color riche pink lipstick

Everyone around me probably knows how much I love purplish lips. Though I'm moving away from fuschia and purple lipsticks, I still can't completely not pick pink lipstick with a hint of purple. This particular lipstick from Loreal Paris has beautiful color and tint. It has subtle shine (a beautiful one), pearly but not glossy and is very pretty. I don't really have anything bad to say about this lipstick, it's everything I need in a lipstick. It has good lasting power and when the shine fades away after few hours and after meal, the tint still stays on the lips.

loreal paris color riche think pink lipstick

It is slightly darker on my pigmented lips and the purple hint is more obvious and it's not pure pink, but nevertheless I love how Loreal Paris think pink lipstick make me look more mature in this look.

I love vibrant pink lips, but I don't normally have it this vibrant and bright. It's a new experience for me wearing this kind of pink shade. I think it is very fun, bright, and lovely. The lipstick has fruity scent to it and it is pigmented, also a bit creamy and it's moisturizing. Despite having dry lips, I don't feel like my lips are dry while wearing this Maybelline lipstick. It has subtle shine and I love how I can control how pigmented I want it to be on my lips. In the swatch picture, it looks almost sheer but the thing is it can be as sheer and as pigmented I want it to be. As you can see it's more sheer on my upper lip and the color is more obvious on my lower lip.

maybelline colorshow party pink lipstick

How pretty is this pink? It's so vibrant and everything I need to bring out the color on my face.

So that's all about the pink lipsticks that I use to create 3 different casual but special looks. Check out Luxola for more beautiful lipsticks from many brands and colors. Also check them out to get the latest releases and promo discounts. You can also read their e-magazine here.

Skinfood Rice Mask Wash Off Review

$

First of all, I'd like to apologize for being MIA for the past... month or more. I had a long break and afterwards I got sick and didn't feel very well for couple of weeks, on top of being busy with work. Everything I was working on for my blog had to be delayed, my drafts, all the pictures in my camera that were yet to be edited, and emails I had to response. Now I'm feeling better and I realize I'm so behind schedules. I'm still trying to catch up on emails between editing pictures and writing a post. But finally here I am, writing my super delayed post.

I'm sure everyone heard and probably most of us Korean skincare lovers had already tried this product from Skinfood, which is the Rice Mask Wash Off. I read and heard good reviews about this product but I only tried bit by bit from the samples I received from my other orders. I didn't really use it religiously until recently. I know I'm super late lol. But I didn't have dry skin until lately, probably because I was stressing out so much and didn't really take care of my skin like before and there are dry patches here and there that sometimes it doesn't feel like my skin anymore. It's that terrible. So I was excited to try this product after reading the description in the back of the packaging.

And now let me tell you more about the Skinfood Rice Mask Wash Off after using it the past 3 weeks.

skinfood rice mask wash off review

Anyhow, I received this product from Q-Depot for review purposes. Maybe some of you have heard about them? In case you haven't, Q-Depot is an online webstore that carries Korean cosmetics and skincare. They have over 15,000 products and carry 25+ brands so far. Their warehouse is based in Korea so they deliver your orders directly from Korea, and they offer worldwide shipping. One of the main good things shopping in Q-Depot is, they donate 3% of their profit to social causes as social responsibility is the core value of their store. Now I'll get more to the product.

skinfood rice mask wash off

skinfood rice mask wash off

The mask is 100g worth of product. It is bulky and I'm not so sure if it is travel friendly. It's packaged in plastic tub with ingredients and english description on the packaging. In the description it's said that this mask contains rice bran water. Rice bran water is known to be moisturizing and help in pore tightening, preventing hyper pigmentation and age spot. From the ingredients list, I see couple of ingredients that I recognize and not quite comfortable with like perfume and dimethicone. Makeup products that contain those normally would break me out. But so far, after using this mask for weeks, I don't see any breakouts on my skin.

The texture of this mask is quite interesting. It is not sticky, a bit watery and you can feel the tiny particles that feel like rice granules. The rice beads are soft so it doesn't hurt or irritate the skin. It also feels soft almost like foam. The texture reminds me of soft porridge somehow lol. The weird thing is I feel like it smells nice, but at the same time when I sniff it, it doesn't have any scent if that makes sense. Obviously it doesn't make sense haha. But probably there's a tiny bit subtle scent that is pleasant to my nose.

Moving on, I take adequate amount and put them on my face, mostly cheek, nose and around eyebrow and mouth area because those are the dry parts of my skin. It doesn't tighten my skin while it sits on my face, and though quite watery it sticks on my skin very well there will be no dripping. After few minutes massaging the face, I normally let it sit around 15 minutes and more, because most of the time I forget I have the mask on my face lol. Then I rinse my face with lukewarm water without anymore face wash products, just water.

PROS
- Affordable
- Lots amount of product in the tub
- Moisturizes skin
- No irritation
- Good for dry, sensitive, and normal skin
- A little goes a long way

CONS
- Not so travel friendly

OVERALL
If you want a cheaper alternative for daily mask that is moisturizing and giving you soft skin while brighten dull skin, then this is possibly what you're looking for. It is affordable, easy to use, and effective. I find my skin, especially the drier parts, more soft and moist. So far it helps me combat my flaky skin too.

lioele super gold snail bb cream review

BB cream? Snail? Are they still in? Some of you might have those thoughts right now. But yes, it is, at least for me. I've mentioned about this before, but Lioele is one of my favorite Korean cosmetics brands until now. I've tried probably 70-80% of their face makeup products and when I saw my friend Ashley with this product a while back, I just couldn't resist. It looks so good and flawless on her skin I just had to try myself! It's not really a new product and that was why I had a hard time looking for it and took me a while until finally I saw Jolse carry this product! Yay!

It's a premium BB cream with sun protection, snail extract, and gold ingredient. It says it supplies intensive nutrition for skin, and protects your skin against broad spectrum UVA and UVB damage. It has SPF 50 and it comes with 2 shades no 21 and 23. I got no 21 Natural Beige but it doesn't appear pale like most BB creams with no 21 shade, it's really natural. Plus, how can you not love the gold packaging? I will talk more about this product after the jump, so keep reading please!

I don't know what else to say but how beautiful the packaging is?? I've always loved products with gold ornaments in the packaging but this is all gold, not just the cap. The packaging feels like sturdy metal with plastic cap. It looks luxurious and pretty to me when I put it on my vanity desk, or in my purse. It is medium sized, tall and slim but not heavy. I always have this in my bag everyday to work because these days I always apply my makeup in the car (because of my insomnia I always have sleep troubles and wake up super late and no time to apply makeup an hour before work like I used to).

There is some english description on the back of the box with ingredients list as photographed above. Expiration date and shade number are on the bottom of the packaging.

lioele super gold snail bb cream review

lioele super gold snail bb cream swatch

Like I said earlier, even though this is the lightest shade they have, this is far from pale and ghostly. Normally no. 21 is named Light Beige but this one is Natural Beige and it is indeed more natural looking. It's actually about 1-2 shades darker than my hand. I was worried at first because my face is a bit similar tone as my hand. But since the top of my neck area is quite darker than my face and collar bone to shoulder, this BB cream is actually a good fit for me without having to apply matching foundation or BB cream on my top neck.

I am not sure if you can spot the difference. I know everyone has different screen resolution and graphics but on both my camera and computer screen, in the after pictures, I can see that  my skin is at least one shade darker and matches my neck more. Finally I don't have to apply anything in my neck, cause it bugs me sometimes when I forgot about it and wear white shirt and end up having makeup stains on the shirt collar lol.

Anyway, Lioele Super Gold Snail BB cream has medium coverage that is very buildable. It cancels redness and blend quite easily and nicely. It doesn't cover all my huge pores but some of the normal looking ones. Most of my blemishes are well covered except for the very visible scars on my cheeks. I didn't photoshop these pictures (including the after photos) so you can see my bumpy skin. I actually took these photos 2-3 months ago. I know it has been delayed for so long (please blame my unstable health condition and depression lol) so sorry about that.

lioele super gold snail bb cream review

PROS
- Travel friendly
- Lightweight
- Medium coverage (for people who don't like or need full coverage) & buildable
- Beautiful gold packaging
- Finally affordable now (it used to be almost $40 back then)
- Covers blemishes and redness
- Easy to blend
- Semi matte finish and not cakey
- Decent oil control
- Good for normal to combination skin
- No breakout
- A little goes a long way

CONS
- Not full coverage (for people who prefer full coverage bb cream)
- Only a few online stores carry this product
- Only 2 shades available

OVERALL
It might not have flawless full coverage but this bb cream is buildable and lightweight on the skin. The medium coverage pretty much covers most blemishes and redness except for red scars, so use concealer afterwards on desired spots. If you always apply moisturizer, applying and blending this BB cream won't be a problem. It glides smoothly on skin. It has slight scent when it's first applied but fades very quickly. I have combination oily skin (with some dry patches here and there), the bb cream manages to sit still on my face from 8am to 2pm everyday before I start to see some shine on my nose. On my lazy days, I don't blot or anything and let it on my face until 6pm and my face still looks like a face and not a creamy cake. People with very oily skin might want to apply matte powder on top of this bb cream or blot with blotting paper or tissue. Overall, it is a very nice bb cream with natural finish that is suitable as daily bb cream. I've been using this for the past 2-3 months with no issue.

That is all for my review today. I hope this is helpful and despite my absence for the past few months, I'm sorry again for that. During my depressed and stressful days I just couldn't get myself out and blog, cause I really didn't want to write just random, lazy and half assed posts since I didn't feel good and motivated. I haven't updated my social media accounts for a while either and pretty much have been kinda anti social the past few months. But I've been feeling a bit more better thank you for your supportive emails, messages and kind words. I will really try to get myself to blog again and hopefully I will always be in good condition like today :) A little update about me, I have shorter hair now because it's so damaged (I didn't treat and even care about my hair the past few months) I had to lose my long locks. But thank you for reading and see you on my next post.

Natur Protecting Treatment Hair Serum Review

Have you ever had tangled hair after your hair wash? Or when you wake up in the morning with ultra messy plus tangled hair that takes a while to be brushed? For me, it's always both. I always have tangled hair especially when it's wet, and even more when it's dry. Every morning I skip brushing my hair because it takes a lot of time to untangle my hair and I don't want to risk losing my hair strands while doing so. It's even worse when I left it tangle, so when I wash my hair I can spend at least one and half hour in total to completely have my smooth hair back after using tons of conditioner and hair mask. Partly it's because of my constant bleaching and harsh purple shampoo that dries out my hair, and partly it's because of my laziness. I barely treat my hair, giving them vitamin or any nourishing serum. I've learned my lessons. It's super annoying to have frizzy hair that I can't comb, and when I force comb it, I can see my hair fall and stuck in the hair brush.

If you read more, you'll see how tangled and frizzy my hair is and how I manage to save my hair with this Natur Hair Serum.

natur hair serum indonesia

Natur is one of the products of an Indonesian based company that carries several hair products. This particular Natur hair serum is a protecting treatment with natural active oil and vitamin E. Its natural active oil helps treating, nourishing and maintaining natural hair moisture. It is also enriched with vitamin E that works as an antioxidant that strengthens the hair to avoid breakage and split ends. In the description, it says that it also helps to give the hair more shine and make it look black and healthy, considering most people have black hair here. But it works on my bleached blond hair perfectly as well.

natur hair serum gondowangi

The product is packaged in a bottle with pump. The medium size makes it travel friendly. It contains 60ml of product and it smells really nice, although it had herb-y scent at first and I don't really like herbs. But it is not perfume-y and the scent is natural. The main ingredients are ginseng roots, olive, and natural oils. The pump is very nice and easy to pump.

Actually the main reason I don't often use hair serums is because I hate the stickiness left on my hands and fingers, but I'm so glad that this serum is not sticky like others that I've tried before. The serum itself is a bit thick but still liquidy and easy to apply. I just have to pump on my palm and rub it, then apply while combing my hair strands with my fingers. I normally apply it wet hair after hair wash and it helps smoothing my hair even more making it easy to comb.

If you look at the before pictures, they tangled so bad that probably will break any hair brush. I tend to not brush it at all when my hair is at that state and just try to untangle (and sometimes losing some strands in the process) with my fingers instead. Aside of that, it looks nasty and makes me look like a poodle. But after washing my hair and use the serum, my hair looks like a normal person's hair again. And plus, my hair becomes more smooth and silky after regular use.

PROS
- Strengthens and nourishes hair
- Travel friendly
- Affordable
- A little goes a long way
- Gives smooth and silky hair
- Not sticky

CONS
- None so far

OVERALL
My go to serum whenever my hair is too dry and frizzy, and after every hair wash. It makes my hair smoother and silkier with regular use. It smells really nice too. Overall I really love this serum and finally I found a serum I can use anywhere because it's less hassle and not sticky in my hands. Five hearts for no more stiff broom hair even after I use my dry inducing purple shampoo :D

Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream & Natural Fit Concealer Review

Yay I'm back again with another review! *feels proud of myself*

Couple days ago I posted a BB cream review and now I'm back with another BB cream and concealer review. It's a set from Klairs, which I'm pretty sure many of you have tried at least the BB cream? At least I've read dozens of reviews on this bb cream since couple years ago. I've always debated whether I should try it or not. Back then I had bad acne and super oily skin so I put the thoughts away. But now I finally got the blemish cream and concealer.

Klairs is a Korean based company that carries cosmetics and skincare products from cleansers, pore care kits, natural soap bars, serum, mask and more. I've always loved Klairs products and have tried a few of them in the past. I shared my take on Klairs cleansing foam before. I also tried the cleansing oil and sugar scrub (reviews coming soon) and I must say my skin likes Klairs. Klairs products and especially this Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream and also Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer are meant to be natural looking. The cream has brightening effect, wrinkle care and oil controlling, while the concealer is meant to covers spots and pores. Seeing both products only have 1 shade for all, let's see if they live up to its claims.

klairs illuminating supple blemish cream

klairs illuminating supple blemish cream

klairs illuminating supple blemish cream

There are some descriptions and ingredients list in the back of the box packaging. The cream itself comes in medium slim size tube packaging. It contains 40ml of product and the packaging reminds me of my toothpaste. Its main functions are intensive sun block, blemish balm, and also as whitening and wrinkle care.

Ingredients

Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Butylene Glycol, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Betaine, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Titanium Dioxide, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Niacinamide, Polysorbate 60, Dimethicone, Cetyl Peg/Ppg-10/1 Dimethicone, Zinc Oxide, Yellow Oxide Of Iron, Isoamyl P-Methoxycinnamate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Bentonite, Sodium Chloride, Silica, Red Oxide Of Iron, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Stearic Acid, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Chlorphenesin, Talc, Black Oxide Of Iron, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance, Centella Asiatica Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Piper Methysticum Leaf/Root/Stem Extract, Allantoin, Adenosine, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Extract, Hibiscus Esculentus Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Arctium Lappa Root Extract, Hibiscus Mutabilis Flower Extract, Corchorus Olitorius Leaf Extract, Methylisothiazolinone

klairs illuminating supple blemish cream

klairs illuminating supple blemish cream

This is the swatch of the blemish cream and it looks similar to most Korean bb creams with #21 shade, or at least a shade between 21 and 23 for some. It is light beige and the consistency is a bit thick and not so watery. I don't know if it's because I always apply my softener and conditioning lotion before any makeup that it feels thick when I apply this blemish cream on my face after my day skincare routine. But when I don't apply my moisturizers before, I can apply this blemish cream just fine, although I still recommend moisturizer whichever skin type you have.

klairs illuminating supple blemish cream

Redness, acne, pore, blemishes are my main concern, especially redness. And Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream is the perfect choice to eliminate those nasty redness. I love how my skin has no more redness afterwards. But scars are still visible obviously. I have humongous pores, and while it covers some of my pores, I feel like it clogs some of those big pores at the same time. I love the finish on my cheeks especially, but not so much on my nose. But again my nose is sensitive area and it only likes few makeup base that I have and unfortunately Klairs blemish cream isn't the one for my nose. It makes the dry patch on my nose a bit visible. But the blemish cream is a miracle to the rest of my face. Complicated much?

It has semi matte silky finish once blended. Also, since it has almost translucent finish, like I mentioned before some of my blemishes are still visible and need more dabbing or concealer. The plus size is it doesn't dry me out and feels hydrated on my skin. This blemish cream works wonders when mixed with other foundation/bb cream too so it can work as base makeup and a good mix with my favorite foundation. Despite the thickness after I first apply it with 2 layers of IOPE moisture softener and Etude House Conditioning Cream underneath, it doesn't feel heavy on my skin for the rest of the day, until my oil seeps in.

The oil control isn't too magnificent compared to some other base makeup I tried before. It's not the worse, but quite average if I should be honest. By oil control, I mean how a product control oil on my most oiliest part of the face aka my nose. I swear my nose is the troublemaker part of my face. My cheeks can be oily too but the rest of my face is dry, how awesome is that? *sarcasm* Anyway, this cream lasts 4 hours controlling my oil on the nose before it starts leaking through my pores. And for the rest of my face, it lasts about 6 hours or more depends on if I go outside on a very hot humid day or not.

PROS
- Travel friendly
- Hydrating
- Quite lightweight
- Hypoallergenic formula; No breakout so far
- Eliminates redness (!!)
- Covers some pores, blemishes and acne
- No irritating sensitive skin
- Silky finish

CONS
- Only 1 shade
- Average oil control
- Feels thick when applied after my moisturizers

klairs creamy natural fit concealer

This Klairs concealer is a bit smaller, only 6ml in slim bottle packaging. It is very travel friendly, which also means it can get lost easily lol I've lost this one twice already before I finally found it stuck between the book in my bag or trapped in the inner part of my bag. There's not much info about this concealer on the packaging. But basically it is a liquid concealer with natural shade (also only 1 shade) to cover pores and blemishes. It is quite watery and easy to blend with tapping motion.

klairs creamy natural fit concealer

It comes with doe foot applicator and the shade is quite natural, a bit darker than the blemish cream but it has yellow undertone.

I am not a huge fan of wearing concealer because other concealers that I have and tried before always make my makeup look cakey and feel heavy. But this is one of the very few concealers that I like, finally! It is liquid, and the doe foot applicator makes it easy to apply on the areas I need to conceal, visible scars, pores, and eyebags. If the Klairs blemish cream makes my face looks more pale, after I blend out the concealer, my face looks more natural as it evens out my skintone. I also notice this concealer covers the big pores on my nose really well! I use it as lip concealer too, I really like the result. And as for under eye concealer, it can only cover so much. It does a good job minimizing the darkness though but it makes my already visible fine lines more obvious. It doesn't crease if I apply pressed powder on top of the concealed under eye.

PROS
- Lightweight
- Travel friendly
- Creamy texture, easy to blend
- Covers redness, blemish, and pores with medium to full coverage
- Not oily

CONS
- Only 1 shade

Shimmering Fall Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone! It's been a long while since my last makeup tutorial. I've meant to make one for the longest time and I thought I would youtube it, but apparently I don't have much time to edit and stuff so I figure I could just post a simple one on my blog.

I got some requests from a while ago to make a full gyaru makeup tutorial. I know I haven't had my full gyaru look lately, mostly because I don't have that much time when doing my makeup. This is my usual go to hime gyaru makeup with more colors. Normally I always, always, always have pink lips and brown eye makeup with more contouring. But this time, I play more with highlighters and softer lippies. Before I babble even more, let's just get into the tutorial shall we!

gyaru makeup tutorial canmake shimmering fall

1. Shape and fill your eyebrows with drawing a thin eyebrow line then apply eyebrow mascara if needed.
**I know full perfect eyebrows and korean straight brows are all the rage these days but I personally love thin neat eyebrows more for myself and my gyaru look. Although, most of the time my eyebrows are automatically hidden underneath my front bangs lol

2. Apply base eyeshadows on the eyelids, which followed by applying shimmery white eye shadow on the upper lid and brow bone. Then put on pink and purple eyeshadow on the pink and purple highlighted areas, then blend them. Ps. It's much easier to achieve that shimmering eyes with my Canmake Eye Nuance. It's very shimmery and I love how especially the white one is pigmented!

3. Apply the same white eyeshadow on the inner corner of the eyes all the way on the under eye and blend it with brown eyeshadow on the outer corner.

4. Put on eyeliner. I always use brush liner for more accuracy. I don't have sharp inner eye corner so I make my own with eyeliner. It's a very important step for gyaru eye makeup too.

5. Put on your favorite upper and bottom lashes.

6. Apply highlighter on the cheekbones and put some crazy blush on from the inner part to the apple of your cheeks. Then blend them together. I also put on a bit more highlighter on top of the blushed areas to make it more subtle (with less harsh edges) and glowy.

7. Highlight and contour your nose. It's a must for gyaru makeup! I especially have to do it cause I barely have a nose lol. I also like to make it more obvious and define rather than subtle and natural, mostly thanks to my desire to recreate Sakurina's awesome nose in her older gyaru days. And besides, I like it when even under harsh lighting my nose contour still shows up in photos.

8. Put on some glossy gloss in peachy nude color. I use Canmake Candy Wrap Lip, and it's effortlessly pretty <3

VDL Tint Bar Triple Shot Review

vdl tint bar triple peach

It's been a while since I shared my last lipstick review. But this time I'm back with another tint lipstick to share with you. It's called Tint Bar Triple Shot in triple peach by VDL. I've heard and seen VDL foundation around last year on some online makeup store but I had no idea that it was a Korean brand. VDL stands for Violet Dream Luminous. I can't find much information on their official website but they have really nice colorful makeup collection. Their lipsticks looks so nice! Definitely on my wishlist just now. According to the little english on the website, VDL is a unique cosmetic brand dedicated to women who actively seek out and realize their dreams and desires.

This triple shot tint bar is one of VDL's hit items. It's a triple colored lip tint that creates petal bitten gradient effect with a single touch. This stick tint offers 3 colors, main color, sub color and base color. The tint has 3 functions as a tint, lip balm and lip base. The result on the lips depends on how you apply and use the tint stick. It can help achieve gradient look or blended colors on the lips. I prefer blended colors because this particular shade that I got give a very pretty nudy peach color that I like. Keep reading to see more about this amazing lippie!

Even the box packaging is so pretty with the gradient hologram. There's some english description on the back of the packaging. Also, an instruction guide is included inside the box.

vdl tint bar triple peach

The tint packaging is rather transparent and simple with the VDL logo engraved on the metal. Expiration date is printed on the bottom part of the tint. The shade I got is no 601 Triple Peach.

They have 5 colors available: Triple Pink, Triple Candy, Triple Red, Triple Burgundy and Triple Peach.

Isn't it yummy looking? The tint stick reminds me of a candy somehow lol. It has 3 colors, hence the triple shot name. The first time I got it, I wondered how these colors would work on my lips. I mean, orange, yellow, and beige? I was terrified imagining how it would be on my pigmented lips.

vdl tint bar triple shot swatch

But apparently I have nothing to worry about as you can see on the swatch. It's pretty sheer and a bit too sheer for my taste actually. But with double and triple strokes, the color looks beautiful between coral and orange.

I have very pigmented lips, so lip concealer is always necessary in order to show the lippie's real color. I didn't use fancy technique applying this on my lips and just rotate the tint stick to get this blended color look. I know my lips look ultra dry on this one, please ignore lol. I love the base color of the tint bar though, it's nude beige and it's quite pigmented. I can also create gradient look with this tint bar, but I'm kinda over gradient look lately so I stick with this pretty coral finish.

vdl tint bar triple peach

PROS
- Affordable
- Travel friendly
- Moisturizing
- Not creamy and thick
- Can create different look depends on how it's applied

CONS
- Sheer, not for people who wants opaque lippies

OVERALL
It's a tint stick with 3 colors that works great individually and as gradient colors, as well as the normal hold and swipe application which will blend all 3 colors into nude coral. It is moisturizing and not drying my lips. It's a tint so it's not meant to look opaque and thick like lipsticks. It's more on the sheer side but it is buildable. Normally 3 strokes give a very pretty peach color on my lips. Verdict? I love love love this tint bar and lately I've been wearing it to work. The color is almost nude and very natural, perfect for work or school.

Harley Quinn Inspired Makeup for Halloween

"My boss likes me to wear a smile to work." -Harley Quinn
If I have to be honest, I'm and have always been a Marvel fangirl. Maybe it's just me taking things too seriously but I don't remember the last time I watched a DC movie lol. Even though I'm a Marvel kinda girl, but if I have to pick one of DC characters that I really like and adore, it would definitely be Harley Quinn. The bubbly, crazy, high pitched voice, and her jokes... well almost everything about her makes me like Harley Quinn. Also how she always makes up nicknames like Puddin, Mister J etc. So this Halloween, I decided to do a Harley Quinn look. I've always been a cute (and a bit goth) kind of characters like Alice and cracked doll the past 2 years, but this time doing a different type of character and makeup really challenged me. All I know when I talk about Harley Quinn is... red and black. For red, I always use Etude House play 101 pencil in red as it's the perfect red shade with perfect finish. I noticed I also used this pencil last year for my Halloween look lol. I also did my nails in red and black, with some rhinestones and black rose deco. I also make a quick simple tutorial for this makeup look under the jump.

halloween harley quinn makeup tutorial

1. I apply my normal foundation and darker shade foundation like in the picture to highlight and contour my face better and quicker.

2. With Etude House 101 pencil in red, I draw my brows. (I seriously always use this pencil for anything and everything, including for this look all the red color is using 101 pencil)

3. After applying base eye shadow on my entire eyelids, I dot 101 pencil on my upper lids and smudge them with my ring finger. Red eyeshadow works too, but I am always too lazy to fix the scattered powders this time.

4. I apply dark grey eye shadow and blend it with the red like shown in the picture.

5. I draw my eyeliner on the upper eyeline normally with the long upward wing, then I slightly draw the line inward from the wing.

6. Then I apply more red pencil on my under eye, dab and smudge it downward as seen in the picture.

7. I apply a little bit of dark grey eye shadow on top of the red on the bottom line like in the picture above, making a lower sharp wing using brush.

8. Draw a short line from the inner part of the bottom line to the middle part.

9. Then I draw a sharp but short line with eyeliner to create a sharper eye on the inner corner.

10. I put on my upper eyelashes.

11. Apply concealer on my lips and around my mouth, then I draw a thin lips with the pencil, then extending the smile line making a wide smirk.

12. Last but not least, draw a small heart on the cheekbone with eyeliner and done!

Wedding Dress Inspirations II

$

Even though I'm not wearing engagement ring yet, but I'd like to be ready when the time comes and it would be nice if I don't need to worry and freak out which wedding dress I'd wear. Last year I posted the first wedding inspiration post, and when I looked back it seems I was so into fairytale princessy-like wedding dresses. But this time I'm going to share a different set of wedding dress collections that I find beautiful and elegant, perfect for that one big day.

While it looks more simple than my usual picks, but this wedding dress looks gorgeous to me. The off shoulder is very appealing and would look great on anyone with pretty collarbone. It is so elegant and beautiful. This dress is the in the top of my list.

This is another lace wedding dress NZ that I like. It's more simple but still beautiful. It's sleeveless with A line skirt. I think this wedding dress would suit anyone who prefers classic and simple style.

I know some women (probably including myself) would love to see themselves in ball wedding gown on the big day. That is why I don't forget to put this lovely dress on my list too. The upper part of the dress hugs the upper body to hips, emphasizing the body shape well. I heard that mermaid dress isn't too comfortable for a wedding day as it makes us difficult to walk, but for me I wouldn't mind and would just endure it well for this kind of gorgeous mermaid dress. The skirt is so pretty and dreamy looking too!

Even though it's not white, but this champagne dress is too beautiful to be missed. It's also a mermaid dress with beautiful ruffles lower skirt. This one looks beautiful and luxurious to me, but I wonder how comfortable it would be to walk around in this dress. Either way, it's very pretty and deserve to be included to my inspiration list.

Beautiful A line dress with lace sleeves for plus size. All these wedding dresses are available in Pickweddingdresses, an online wedding store that caters many wedding dresses in different styles and sizes, including plus size dresses. Be sure to check them out :)

Vassen Jewel Brown Circle Lens Review

Hello, everyone! I'm finally back with a new review. It's been too long since my last circle lens review. That's because I've been repurchasing and wearing the same circle lenses I've shared on my blog before, all from Vassen. I think I've been a loyal Vassen user that 80% of my circle lens reviews on this blog were from Vassen. But this time finally I decided to try another Vassen circle lens I've never tried before, which is Jewel in brown color. I noticed I normally opted for either gray or unique colors in the past like gold, purple, pink etc. But lately I feel like I need more natural circle lenses colors as usually my eye makeup can be too much and I think natural colors like brown would balance my look more. Or maybe as I age, I want to look more natural? Either way, I'm loving this brown so far!

Now let me show you how it looks like more after the jump :)

vassen jewel brown circle lens

I received these lenses from Pinky Paradise, and as always they include the animal lens case, as well as the convenient hair velcro. All came in safe bubble wrap.

The back of the lens. I used to always get circle lenses with black thick rims, because they help enlarging my eyes. But this time, I like the outer line of the lenses as well.

And this is how it looks like on my eyes.

They look really pretty especially with natural lighting. With 14.5mm diameter, it's not too big but they still enlarged my eyes. I think it looks nice for my daily wear at work. The circle lens is as comfortable as other Vassen lenses I try so far.

To summarize,

COLOR/DESIGN

Vassen Jewel series are available in 6 colors. It has pretty natural rim and quite simple but still natural looking design. The inner part has some spots where they are transparent so small irises like mine would show the white part of the eyes, but it's not that visible. For me personally, either with or without flash the lenses still look natural, it's just with flash the color is a bit more vibrant while without flash it blends with my natural eyes more.

ENLARGEMENT

It has 14.55 mm diameter and is eyes enlarging, especially if you have small iris like me. Nowadays I always stick to 14.5 mm circle lenses as they are enlarging, comfortable and look more natural on me.

COMFORT

As always, Vassen never disappoints in comfort department. It stays nice and comfortable for a whole day at work. Normally I have it on my eyes for 8 hours, but when I have to go out I have it longer for around 10+ hours. To be honest, with my sensitive eyes I still need a few drops of eyedrops every few hours because I'm always indoor with air conditioner. But that doesn't change the fact that the lenses always feel secure on my eyes without any irritation, even when I fall asleep during lunch time sometimes.

OVERALL

I'm not lying whenever I say Vassen is the best circle lens for me, or when I introduce this circle lens brand to almost everyone I know. This one is no exception. Since I'm going for natural while choosing this lens, it doesn't disappoint me. It is pretty though more simple, but I can achieve the natural look wearing this circle lens. The lenses are so comfortable and lasts for over 6 hours without irritation. But I still recommend using eyedrops especially if you have sensitive or dry eyes, or if you're like me who spends a lot of time in air conditioned room. Overall, it's a perfect circle lens I can wear everyday without having people around look at me as if I'm an alien lol.

W.LAB Honey Beam Cushion Review

Just when I thought I was finally done with cushion makeup, nope not yet. I am back with a new cushion makeup from W.Lab, a Korean based cosmetics brand. I haven't heard about this brand before so I was so curious to try this. While I can't really find more information about the brand itself (because their main website is in Korean), but I found and learned more about the w-honey beam cushion. As the name suggests, this cushion product contains more than 44% island honey extract and manuka honey. It claims to have triple function, UV protection with SPF 50+/PA+++, whitening, and anti wrinkle, certified by Korean food and drug ministry. It also promises moisture and coverage upon application. Plus, it has gold packaging. If you haven't already noticed, I always have a thing for anything gold, especially cosmetics packaging so at first glance, I already fell in love with this product. But keep reading please to learn more about this product!

How cute is the bumblebee on the box? She looks angry but she's so cute :3 Also there's no english description on the back of the packaging, everything is Korean. There are only 2 shades, #21 Honey Light and #23 Honey Beige.

When I opened the box, there were the cushion puff and cushion both were sealed.

The cute angry bumblebee is also on the cushion packaging! On the back of the cushion, there's also some more words in hangeul that I don't get but most likely it's the shade number, spf and general information. The expiry date is also printed on the back so you'll know until when this product will be safe to use.

Just like other korean cosmetic brands cushions, this one is no different in terms of packaging. There's a separator lid and when you open it, you can see it's new with the sealed sticker on top of the sponge. The product is underneath the cushion and it'll seep through the pores of the cushion when you press it lightly.

This is the swatch of both shades on my hand. Honey light is pale perfect for people with fair skin, while honey beige is slightly darker with yellow undertone. Unfortunately there are only 2 shades, just like some other korean BB creams / CC creams. So people with darker skin probably don't like this. But I'm one of some people here who always have no choice but to use one shade darker when it comes to face makeup because sometimes some makeup or stores always have not enough light shade (mostly because the stock isn't available) for fair skin people, and once I found korean makeup I'm so glad #21 from any brands always match my skintone. This one is no exception.

I wear #21 on the pictures above. As you can see, with nothing on my face, my skin looks so dull and I have many scars and some redness. It doesn't give me full coverage, I still can see some visible scars. But it covers my redness and minor blemishes. My mole, big acne and scars are 70% covered so I'd say this cushion has light to medium coverage. The cushion makes my skin more moist and dewy looking. I've tried a lot of dewy makeup before, but so far this is the product that makes me look so dewy and I like it. The consistency makes it easy to apply and blend into the skin, either with the cushion puff or brush, or even finger.

The edges of my nose is really dry so the cushion helps me moist those parts. But my nose can be really oily after a few hours so after applying this cushion, I still have to use my blotting powder on my nose cause no matter how lovely dewy look is, I don't want my nose to look oilier. The rest of my face feels moisturized even after 6 hours, but they don't get more oily and I don't see any melting on the rest of my face.

PROS
- Lightweight
- No breakout
- Travel friendly
- Eliminates redness
- Medium coverage
- Moisturizing with dewy finish; good for dry to normal skin
- Quick application, easy to blend

CONS
- Only 2 shades available
- Not full coverage
- Not for oily skin

OVERALL 4/5
It's a cushion makeup with medium coverage and SPF 50 that moisturizes and gives dewy finish. It's quick and easy to apply. The cushion comes with a puff that comes in handy. It's light enough to be carried anywhere. Despite the dewy finish, it doesn't make my face look like it's melting but it makes the skin stay moist for long hours. It has decent oil control, but of course blotting paper and/or matte powder is still needed and highly recommended if you have combination skin like me. I dab blotting powder on my nose cause it's where most of my oil comes from. But overall, it's a really amazing base makeup that enhances my overall look on the face as the dewy glow makes my skin looks healthy and nice. And for people with less blemishes, it acts as a good bb cream / sheer foundation that keep their skin moisturized. I've been wearing this cushion since last month and I must say I love it! I normally dab a few dots of bb cream after applying this cushion for more coverage though, and it looks super awesome!

Skinfood Argan Oil Silk Hair Essence Review

As someone with bleached (not to mention damaged) dry hair like me, I always wake up with tangled and messy hair when I wake up in the morning. No matter how I brush and make my hair super smooth before bed, I always wake up with weird tangled hair it's giving me headache lol. The only day I am free with that kind of hair is after I wash my hair and use hair serum. Despite having this kind of hair, you can say I'm always pretty lazy when it comes to hair treatment. When I go home from work or outside, all I want to do is just rush to bed and rest or curl in bed watching dramas or playing games. The only hair products I use are mostly hair mask (during hair washing) and hair serum (after hair wash). I know Korean skincare products are extensive not just toner and moisturizer, but also to essence, serum, ampoule, cream, etc. Apparently there's an essence product too for hair. At first glance I thought why should I use it when I already have my usual hair serum? But seeing how bad my hair condition is, I know I should try this hair essence, especially since it contains argan oil.

Argan oil is known to be very great for skin, face and hair. It is a really good moisturizer, and rich with vit A and E. It is also packed with omega 6 fatty acids, antioxidants. Argan oil in pure form is also good for skin toner and exfoliating, also reducing sebum in your skin! But its benefit not only for skin, but also hair including as leave in conditioner and deep conditioner treatment. It is also able to tame any frizzy hair, making hair more manageable and luscious. While I know this product doesn't have pure argan oil (simply because from what I know, argan oil can cost really expensive), but the fact that it contains argan oil alone already convinced me that it will definitely help my tangled hard-to-manage hair.

So let's skip my babbles and read more about the product.

It comes in plastic bottle with pump dispenser with 100ml worth of product. There's actually no english description or anything on the back of the packaging. But I got some excerpt from the official Skinfood website about this product:

DetailsContaining 18 silk-based ingredients as well as moisture-keeping and nutrition-rich argan oil Argan oil Silk Hair Essence gives your dry and damaged hair a silky and lustrous shine.
※ Free of 3 additives for healthy hair : No parabens, alcohol, artificial dyes

[Argan Oil Story]
Argan Oil , Known as oil of God, is produced from the kernels of the argan free, which is now endangered and under protection of UNESCO. It is highly rich in essential fotty acid. Vitamin E, squalene and excellent in keeping moisture that it is valued for hair care.

* To Use- Spred a modest amount through the hair or parts of it and style it as you want.
- Give a more gentle and careful massage to damaged hair. For more effective hair damage prevention, dry your hair after applying essence when your hair is still wet after shampooing.

The product is not liquidy watery, it's quite thick so I haven't experienced easy spilling with this essence. It's also clear and smell good. I apply adequate amount on the end of my hair usually and use my fingers to brush it.

When I took the before photo, I thought it would turn out really bad because of the hair condition was super awful. But when I see the picture as I put the before and after together, I was like why this didn't look as bad as the real hair? Maybe it's just me. But anyways, the before hair was actually extremely tangled and frizzy I couldn't separate them at all. If I kinda pulled a small section of the strands, the whole thing like shown in the photo would get pulled as well since they literally stuck together. You can see it's the same hair parts from my hair color I hope. Cause that back part of my hair is the most uneven, many shades of blonde (since I did my hair on my own and the back part always get neglected and overlooked).

Anyway, I use 2 pumps of the hair essence on the hair and then I smooth them out with my fingers (hair brush would only pull the hair out in this condition). Of course the essence makes the hair more damp afterwards but not greasy. Blow dry the hair while brushing slowly helps so much and I get this result like on the after photo. It still looks a bit messy and not totally straight like normal, but it looks and feels so much better. But it's even more better if I use it right after I wash my hair on my damp hair. Although, to be honest this essence is a really awesome product to have and use on a dry hair as a leave in conditioner. People with less time in their hands (or for lazy people like me) may also find this helpful to keep the hair stay moisturize and in good condition even after it got really messy and frizzy. So for me, it's a really great addition for my quick hair treatment routine, right after my hair serum.

OVERALL 4.5/5

PROS
- Subtle perfume-y scent
- Affordable
- Comes with pump dispenser
- Not greasy on the hair or hand
- Smooths out tangled frizzy hair
- Makes hair more silky afterwards
- A little goes a long way

CONS
- The size is a bit big for a normal purse, might not so travel friendly

Etude House Princess Fantasy to Let Your Pink Out Event

On last December 2015 I was invited by Etude House for their latest store opening in Central Park, Jakarta. It was Etude House's 38th store in Indonesia, and the 16th one in Jakarta. While most Etude House stores so far are just like normal stores where people can browse, try out products and buy, this new store in Central Park Mall has a different concept than the rest. It has Princess Fantasy Experience House kind of concept where customers can feel the princess experience in the makeup studio, while getting makeover there. It's the first one in Jakarta.

Read more for more my day at Etude House and its pinkness after the jump!

When I first arrived, the first thing I saw was the crowd around the game area. The staff prepared some games for bloggers before the opening event began. I played one of the games and got Etude House nail polish as prize lol. With Miharu, I also played the puzzle game and we barely finished half of them haha.

Anyway, here is the new store.
etude house central park

The store is another cute store just like other Etude House stores, but this one is less pink and more pastels with mint and white colors.

etude house central park

The event was started with a dance cover group that performed some of Shinee hit songs.

Then Miss Yenny Maria, Directress of Etude House Indonesia, explained more about the new concept of this store. Etude House has been known to treat their customers as princesses. And with this concept, they want us loyal Etude House customers to be lovely, playful, and engaging and can feel the new image of Etude House which is the Princess Fantasy which will make customers to be more free and express more how to look pretty, younger and modern.

Once it's officially opened, we all stepped in and the first thing I saw was the Magic Any Cushion products on the front, featuring Miharu who was taking picture lol. The whole store was all pink and mint green, looking more fresh and cute.

There are some new furniture like the 101 Pencil Tower (will there be 101 stick tower soon?), Makeup studio, and other cute things there.

Then Franky Wu and Cheryl Raissa demonstrated different Etude House makeup looks on the models. He also showed us how he applied foundation with Etude House My Beauty Tool Secret Brush 121 skin which is adjustable and the wand can be changed between brush and sponge. I find it really amusing and will come in handy.

And the day was ended with a photo with Miharu Julie and Dewi, also obligatory selfie. I had a fun time on Etude House, as always. It's always a nice and enjoyable experience while being surrounded by pastel colors and cute things. I'm just hoping Etude House Indonesia will keep adding new released products to the stores here too soon and I'm sure we all will love and enjoy more being Etude House princesses ❤

Don't forget to visit Etude House and try the makeup studio in Central Park Mall Jakarta, LG floor. Also check out Etude House Indonesia website for more information on available products and upcoming events!
